Imbued with the desire to uphold a legacy of intellectual distinction,effective social action, and authentic sisterhood, they sought the assistance of campus administration and the Roanoke Alumnae Chapter in realizing their dream.
Tau Omega's establishment brought the first Historically Black Sorority to each of its comprising campuses: Roanoke College and Washington & Lee University. Wishing to lay a solid foundation for future generations, the Charter Members focused primarily on internal development during the nascent Chapter’s first year.
Since 2005, scholastic achievement, public service aligned to the 5-Point Programmatic Thrust, and sisterly love have been the order of business.
